OP SHOPPING OPPORTUNITES
Friday, 05 August 2016 11:32
The recycling of your unwanted clothes, shoes and bric a brac by donating them to your local Op Shop is a brilliant way to care and contribute to your community. Kingston’s Op shop has 35 volunteers and has been around for 15 years. They’ve got lots of winter bargains this time of year, and are encouraging locals and passers-through to pop in and see what’s on offer. Volunteer at the shop Margaret Rodgers, said that some people just like Op Shop shopping, and some people really need it. And in Bordertown, the Salvation Army Thrift Shop is off-loading bargains for everyone with a huge Saturday morning sale this weekend. Donating your pre-loved items and having a big clear out can be almost “cleansing”; so remember to recycle rather than send to landfill.
